The project is located at 564 E. Pioneer Drive, Heppner, Oregon 97836. Morrow County Health District will receive sealed bids at Pioneer Memorial Hospital, 564 E. Pioneer Drive, Heppner, Oregon 97836 until but not after 4:00 p.m. PST on September 2, 1999 for the project described herein. All bids shall be delivered in sealed enve lopes, plainly marked “Pioneer Memorial Hospital remodeling bid” to the District's offices at 564 E. Pioneer Drive, Heppner, Ore gon 97836 by the date and time specified. Bids may be delivered by mail or by personal delivery, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8.00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but in no event will any bid be accepted after the date and time set forth above. All bids must be received and time stamped by the District by such time. Late bids will not be ac cepted. Each bid received must be clearly marked as indicated. All bids properly received by the stated time and date will be publicly opened and read aloud at 1.00 p.m. on September 3, 1999 in the conference room o f the Hospital at 564 E. Pioneer Drive, Heppner, Oregon 97836. District Board approval is re quired before the final award of the contract to the successful bid der. The District does not antici pate any undue delays as the re sult of this approval requirement; however, bidders should recognize that the possibility of a delay does exist. All bids shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Oregon in an amount equal to ten percent of the total amount bid and shall be forfeited if the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract with Morrow County Health District within ten (10) days after the re ceipt of said contract. The suc cessful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in a sum equal to the contract price within ten days, from a surety company authorized to do business in Oregon. Failure to furnish the performance bond prior to the deadline may result in rejection of the bid, and forfeiture of bid se curity and award to the next low est responsible bidder. Bids may be rejected for not complying with all prescribed pub lic bidding procedures and require ments.
