If it's Cornball Comedy you want, the fair has it The Morrow County Fair presents to you, "The Cornball Comedy Show," featuring The Bink Family Clowns. Come join them on Friday, August 20, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The shows provide lots of magic, comedy and hilarious help from the audience. It's sure to be great family entertainment. Kids in awe over reptiles The Fair Committee was able to arrange to have Hart's Reptiles at fair again this year. Featured reptiles include Binky the 17-1/2' python, along with Sherman, the giant tortoise The reptiles will "slither in" from 12-8 p.m. on Thursday. August 19. At last year's fair children of all ages learned, among other things, that snakes aren’t slimy and turtles can be giants. Classic car, cycle show sheduled Once again the Morrow County Fair Committee is putting on a classic car show on Wednesday, August 18, at 6:30 p.m. In addition to the classic car show, they are also planning to have a classic motorcycle show. Anyone who has a classic car or motorcycle is invited to get it cleaned up and bring it to the football field by 6 p.m. to get a spot. Trophies, prizes and dash plaques will be awarded. The registration fee is $10 with a free entry into the fair. Those planning to enter are asked to please have registration done, if possible, by August 11 by calling 541-989-8253 or call the fair office at 541-676-9474 Aspiring country singer to perform Once again everyone will get a chance to enjoy the talent of Arlington's Zac Grooms on Thursday, August 19, at 3. Fair goers will have the opportunity to hear Zac's rich voice without his back-up band. Zac is an aspiring country singer who has a CD entitled, "Outta Time," that is available at Murray's in Heppner. Zac has recorded with Mike Chapman (Garth Brooks' bass player) and Glen Duncan (Tim McGraw’s fiddle player) and several others. Be sure and come out to the fairgrounds and listen to this young man of 15 before he hits the big-time. Bring your pet to the pet show Come join the fun at the fair on Wednesday, August 18, at 1:30 p.m. for the pet show to be held on the outdoor stage in the picnic area. Everyone is invited to bring his or her favonte pet. Dogs must be on a leash and easily frightened animals should be brought in cages. No pre- registration is required. Kids will receive a silver dollar for participation. Afterwards at 2 p.m., the pet-look-a-like followed will be held, followed by a pet parade.
