MCSO received a report of bathrooms vandalized in Irrigon. MCSO received a report of 1/ 2 of a semi truck tire in the middle of the freeway. Boardman Fire Dept, received a report of a grass fire behind Desert Springs Estates. MCSO received a request for a deputy for a welfare check on children. Boardman Police Dept, ar rested Kayla McMillion, 34, on a Morrow County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to Appear/ Contempt o f Court. She was lodged at the UCSO jail. MCSO received a report of a erratic driver headed into Irrigon. An officer was unable to locate anything. MCSO received a report of il legal fireworks at the Irrigon Ma rina Park. MCSO received a report from a man who was confronted and threatened by approximately 16 youths who had trashed bath rooms. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of loud music in Boardman. Hermiston Police Dept, ar rested Jose Alberto Mardueno, 21, for Failure to Pay Fine/Failure to Perform Duties of a Driver, and charges of Assault III and Using a False Name. July 10: MCSO received a report from a man who said his neighbor’s Rottweilers dug under the fence and into his yard in Imgon. The caller was concerned about his small dogs. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a speeder at Desert Springs Estates. When asked to slow down, the driver cursed at the caller. Morrow County Road Dept, received a report of a shattered mirror on Highway 74. MCSO received a report of sheep out on Highway 74 near Heppner. MCSO received a request for an officer contact from a woman regarding her kids who were taken the previous night. Boardman Police Dept., Boardman ambulance received a report from a woman who said she was having an allergic reaction. She declined an ambulance and requested that Dr. Boss meet her at the clinic, but the doctor was out of town. There was no trans port made. MCSO received a request for an officer concerning harassment in Irrigon. MCSO received a request for an extra patrol in Boardman. MCSO deputy arrested Ralph Ernest Janshen, Jr., 41, of Buckley, WA. for DUII. He blew a .19. He was also cited for Vio lation of the Basic Rule, 79 mph in a 55 mph zone, Driving while License Suspended infraction and Driving Uninsured. MCSO received a report of a dog problem in Imgon. MCSO received a report from a woman in Irrigon that three males followed her 14 year old daughter home in a newer black pickup. Heppner Police Dept, cited a 17 year old juvenile for Disorderly Conduct. He was also cited for Criminal Trespass. MCSO received a request for a deputy concerning a complaint possibly made against the caller. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a request for an officer from a person not feeling well and trying to get to the Pendleton Detox Center. MCSO received a report of a possible drunk driver heading to ward Boardman on Highway 730 at a high rate of speed. MCSO, Boardm an Police Dept., Boardman ambulance, Medic 3 received a report of a 23 year old who had fallen and hit their head on a sidewalk. The per son was conscious. When 911 was traced, a man was yelling in the background, threatening the caller’s life before the line went dead again. It turned out to be a party. Heppner Police Dept, received a request to locate a barking dog and make contact with its owner. Heppner Police Dept, received a request to deliver a message from a woman to advise her son to call home ASAP. MCSO received a report of a barking dog in Irrigon, keeping a sick man awake. July 11: MCSO received an other report of a barking dog in Imgon. MCSO received a report of a wrong-way driver on 1-84. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a large dog act ing very threatening to people. City of Irrigon received a re port of a water pipe problem and water entering a house in Irrigon. Boardman Fire Dept, received a report of several brush fires along the railroad tracks. MCSO received a report of smoke near Patterson Ferry Road. MCSO received a report of loud music in Irrigon. They were asked to turn it down but didn’t. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a possible DUII on 1-84. An officer was unable to locate anything. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a driver with a child on his lap, letting the child steer the vehicle at Three Mile Canyon. MCSO, Heppner Police Dept, received a report of a person driv ing with a suspended license. MCSO received a report of a juvenile located by parents. Boardman Police and Fire depts., Union Pacific Railroad re ceived a report of poles on fire. MCSO received a report from a man who said his step-son was out, possibly drinking in the Hermiston area. MCSO received a report of a possible domestic dispute with a man threatening to kill her. It was a verbal dispute. Morrow SWCD to meet A regular board meeting of the Morrow SWCD/Weed Advisory Board will be held Tuesday, Aug. 3, at 6:30 p.m. at the Pettyjohn Office Building in Heppner. Agenda items include: discussion with Army Corps of Engineers concerning Senate Bill 1010 and the Clean Water Act; Conservation Reserve Program status reviews and new plans; Environmental Quality Incentive Program applications; manager's report; weed report and weed ordinance report/activities; agency reports and other business. Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, July 28,1999 - FIVE CSEPP contracts signed In a regular board meeting held July 7, Umatilla County Commissioners awarded the contracts for "Shelter in Place ki(s" and "Meals Ready to Eat". St. Vincent de Paul Rehabilitation Services, Inc. of Portland was awarded a $260,000 contract to produce and distribute 17,000 Shelter In Place kits for Umatilla County residents living near the Umatilla Chemical Depot. Each kit will contain a roll of plastic duct tape, 100 square feet of six millimeter plastic, a pair of scissors, a towel, an instructional video, an information booklet, and a Wally Wise coloring book. The kits will be mailed in mid- August. The Shelter In Place kit will come in a cardboard box that will allow the resident to customize it to meet their needs. Suggested items to add to the kit are a battery-powered radio, battery-powered flashlight, first aid kit, entertainment and snacks, said a CSEPP news release. The $21,350 Meals Ready to Eat (MRE) contract was awarded to SOPAKCO Packaging of Mullins, SC. The MREs should be delivered to each overpressurized school in Hermiston and the Umatilla School District by the start of school this fall.
