DuVall Kenneth Alyn DuVall, 67, of Sun City, Arizona, a retired archi tect, died April 12,1998, in Phoe nix. Graveside services will be held in the Lexington Cemetery on June 6, 1998, at 2 p.m. Mr. DuVall served in the U.S. Coast Guard for four years. He and his wife, June VanWinkle, met in Portland and were married at St. Patrick’s Parish on Septem ber 9, 1951. The DuValls retired in 1994 and moved to Arizona from Bellevue, Washington. He spent many year.s visiting Lexington and Heppner and felt as if this was his home. His zest for life will be missed by all. Mr. DuVall is survived by his wife, June; a daughter, Renee of Spokane; a son, Kenneth A. The tournament benefits the Boardman Chamber of Commerce Scholarship fund, and features putting contests and KP (closest to pin) contest with a "scramble" format. KP winners were: Jason Brown, Gary Frederickson, Kory Killingbeck and Nathan Van Gorder. Pam Fisher oversaw the 11 successful contestants in the putting contest. The pot was split 50-50 between contestants and scholarship fund. "Scramble" winners were: first place low gross (score 51) Kory Killingbeck, Ryan Neal and Vernon Heiple, second place low gross (score 57) Dave Pedro, Joe Pelzer and Josh Kegler, first place low net (score 51) Nathan Van Gorder, Lonnie LeClair and Dave Baisley, Tournament trophies were donated by Inland Empire Bank, Boardman Pharmacy and Hardware donated KP prizes. The tournament net proceeds added nearly $800 to the scholarship fund. Highlights of the day included lunch prepared by the Willow Run Ladies Gold Club awards presentation by Ron Daniels, and a "beautiful course maintained by staff of Willow run Gold Club."
