4 ) • / /I , • * 0 , — 4 . 0 * r-r* « H eppner G azette Tim es, H eppner, O regon Sheriff's Report The Morrow County Sheriffs Office in Heppner reports handling or dispatching the following business over the past several weeks: Jan. 19: Boardman Police Dept, received a request for an officer to contact him regarding a tenant that was having some property repossessed; MCSO received a report of a swerving driver in a white Ford pickup; MCSO received a report from Good Shepherd Community Hos pital o f possible child abuse; Boardman Fire Dept, and am bulance, Hermiston ambulance and Oregon State Police received a report of a motor vehicle acci dent on 1-84 westbound, milepost 174 near the median. It was un known if injuries occurred; Oregon State Police received a report of two subjects with flash lights in the refuge area possibly poaching; Heppner ambulance received a report o f a 74 year old woman bleeding heavily from under the arm. The patient was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner; Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report from Wilson Road Trailer Court from a woman who said her husband had gotten up set with her about some marital problems and pulled her hair. The woman requested an officer. Jan. 20: Arlington ambulance received a request for assistance, the emergency was unknown; Boardman ambulance received a request from a woman who re ported that her mother was hav ing difficulty breathing and was already on oxygen; Boardman Fire Dept., and am bulance and Oregon State Police received a report of a rollover accident on 1-84 westbound, mile post 168. Injuries were reported. Three patients were transported to. Good Shepherd Community Hos pital in Hermiston; Oregon State Police received a report of windows broken out of a car on Baseline Road near High way 74; A woman called the Oregon State Police to claim her daughter’s dog found at an acci dent; Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a stolen stereo/ cd player in Boardman; Oregon State Police received a report of a shot elk and several ducks in Irrigon; Heppner Police Dept, received a report from a woman whose mother was trying to get in the back door. Her mother left; MCSO received a request for an officer to file a trespassing complaint in Boardman; MCSO received a report of four juveniles (two males and two females) smelling of alcohol and acting irate at Irrigon Sentry Mar ket. They left and headed west bound on Highway 730; MCSO received a report of an assault at a residence in Irrigon. The parties were separated; MCSO dispatched to the Or egon State Police a report that the 1-84 on-ramp westbound was icy and truck drivers were having problems. Jan. 21: MCSO received a re quest for an officer to speak with a student at Columbia Middle School concerning a pair of shoes that were taken from the student’s residence; MCSO received a request for a deputy to cite a female juvenile for Minor In Possession-tobacco; MCSO dispatched to the Hepp ner ambulance a request for an ambulance for a Heppner man having difficulty breathing. The patient was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner; MCSO received a report that the flood computer jumped to Level 5, but it was not raining. NW Weather Service said that the area looked okay on radar and to reset the computer. Lower Hinton Creek was checked, all was okay; MCSO dispatched to the Or egon State Police a report o f a possible Driving While Under the Influence of Intoxicants on High way 730 near the refuge; MCSO received information that there is a computer software problem with the flood computer; MCSO received a report of eight bales of alfalfa stolen from a residence in Boardman; MCSO received a report of several juveniles on a 4-wheeler behind a residence in Boardman; MCSO received a report of a broken stop sign on Main Street in lone; MCSO dispatched to the Corps of Engineers, Pendleton Weather Service and Heppner Fire Dept, a report o f a Level 5 at Lower Hinron Creek. System was re ported to be running and should read all stream and precipitation gauges and sensors. Heppner Fire Dept, chief Estes said he would check the creek and remove de bris if required; MCSO received a report of ste reo and cd’s taken and the man’s former housemates wouldn’t let him get his personal belongings; MCSO deputy, Boardman Po lice Dept, and Oregon State Po lice responded to a report of a wrong-way driver on 1-84 east- bound in the westbound lanes at milepost 162. The driver almost hit another vehicle. Several offic ers joined in pursuit. The vehicle crossed into Gilliam County. Of ficers set up spikes in the road and the vehicle was stopped. The ve- hicle had been stolen. Jan. 22: MCSO received a re port of graffiti on a water tank in Irrigon; MCSO received a report of a woman honking her hom and flip ping off another woman in lone; MCSO dispatched to the Or egon State Police a report of mules on Highway 74; MCSO dispatched to the Hepp ner Police Dept, a report of a man threatening two woman at a resi dence. MCSO received a report of a residence broken into in Irrigon; MCSO dispatched to the Boardman Police Dept, a report of a speeder on 1-84 eastbound; MCSO dispatched to the Hepp ner Police Dept, a report of par tying at a residence in Heppner; MCSO received a report of lone person overdue for an ap pointment in Hermiston; MCSO dispatched to the Boardman Police Dept, a report of juveniles throwing rocks at passing cars; MCSO dispatched to the Or egon State Police a request for an officer concerning juveniles who he was buried were told to leave a dance at Co lumbia Middle School and would not; MCSO received a report of a bull out on Highway 74. Owners were advised; MCSO dispatched to the Hepp ner Police Dept, a report of a ver bal dispute between a father and juvenile son in Heppner. Jan. 24: MCSO received a re port of a man refusing to leave Beecher’s Restaurant in lone and trying to pick a fight with patrons; MCSO dispatched to the Hepp ner Police Dept, a report of a white Toyota Corolla stolen in Heppner; Heppner Police Dept, received a report of a stolen vehicle found. The car was stolen out of Hepp ner and found near the Heppner Junior High School; Heppner Police Dept, received a request for an officer so the caller could file a report of a bi cycle which was stolen. The caller found the bike at a neighbor’s residence; MCSO received a request for a deputy for vandalism/attempted burglary across from the Coun- try Garden Estates in Irrigon; MCSO dispatched to Gilliam County a report of someone driv ing through fields and chasing cows at Cecil; MCSO received a report of a maroon semi with a white trailer speeding and swerving on 1-84 eastbound, milepost 147; MCSO received a report of a vehicle abandoned at the Irrigon B P/laundrom at for alm ost a week; MCSO and Oregon State Po lice received a report of a domes tic dispute in progress in Irrigon; Boardman Police Dept., Board- man ambulance received a report of an unconscious woman. Her husband could not wake her up. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Community Hos pital in Hermiston; MCSO received a report of a woman trying to move her be longings out of a residence in Ir rigon but was not allowed to; MCSO received a report of $1,000 stolen from a residence in Irrigon; Boardman Police Dept, re ported a suspicious male walking Kg**m Problem gambling is an illness. But there Is a cure. If you know someone with a gambling problem, do them a favor. Make the call. Because they won't. W ed nesday, February 25, 1998 - F IV E along 1-84 westbound, milepost 161, who was w earing dark clothes and partially on the road in Irrigon; Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a suspicious vehicle across from a residence in Boardman. Jan. 25: MCSO received a re port of people stomping on some sacks in Heppner. Turned out that the people were getting garbage ready for pickup; MCSO dispatched to the Boardman Police Dept, a report of a dog bite that drew blood in Boardman; MCSO dispatched to the Boardman ambulance a report of a 68 year old man with conges tive heart failure and who was having trouble breathing. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston; MCSO dispatched to the Boardman Police Dept, a report o f the Colum bia Villa Apts, tagged by gang graffiti;
