The children were trans ported to another residence; Received a report of a mailbox spray-painted in Boardman; To Boardman Fire Dept., a re port of a diesel fuel trailer with eight large tires on it on fire at Three Mile Canyon Road, one mile east of Simplot. A brush rig responded; Received a report of motorist out of gas on 1-84 milepost 163; To the Condon ambulance, Condon Fire Dept., a report of a one vehicle rollover with injuries on Highway 206, west of Condon. One patient was transported to Gilliam County Medical Center and then to Mid-Columbia Medi cal Center at The Dalles; Received a rep o rt o f kids screaming at and humiliating a woman at the pool in Heppner; To Oregon State Police, a re port of a disabled vehicle at 1-84 eastbound, milepost 171. Aug 12: received a report of items missing from a residence in Irrigon; Received a report o f phone harassment in Irrigon; Received a report of domestic assault at a residence in Irrigon; Received a report o f a stolen car in Boardman; MCSO deputy arrested Timo thy A. Mooney, 24, for Criminal P io n e e r w ill b e fo r H ave a Non-Support, Contributing to the Sexual Delinquency of a Minor, and Failure To Appear; To Oregon State Police, a re port of a man driving drunk toward freeway from Morgan on High way 74 northbound; To Oregon State Police, a re port of disabled vehicle on 1-84 eastbound milepost 155; To Oregon State Police, a re port of a motor vehicle accident in a drainage ditch on Willow Creek Road. One male patient was transported to Pioneer Me morial Clinic in Heppner by pri vate vehicle. The vehicle was towed; Received a report of a rock hit ting a vehicle thrown from the tires of another vehicle pulling a horse trailer; . Received a report of an injured seagull near East Marina on a baseball field in Irrigon. The seagull was injured badly and was put down; Received a report of a noise problem in Irrigon; Received a report of a domes tic dispute in Irrigon; Aug 13: received report of a possible prowler at a residence in Irrigon; To Heppner Fire Dept., Hepp ner Police Dept., a report of fire alarm at Pioneer Memorial Hos pital. Officer was un able to locate; Everett Thornes Peone, 19, was arrested by Heppner Police Dept, on warrant out o f Ada County Sheriff’s Office for Grand Theft, and local charges of As sault IV Domestic; Received a report of a suspi cious person at a residence in Ir rigon; Received a report of a stolen dog. The dog was later returned; Received a report o f a boy beaten up by other kids in Board- man. The boy was not beaten, just scared; Received a report that a vehicle stolen from Main Street in Hepp ner was located by Tigard Police D ept; Georgette Juliana Goodyard, 21, was arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle; Received a report of an alarm at A.C. Houghton in Irrigon. It was a false alarm; To Heppner Police Dept., a re port of a woman urging juveniles into her trailer at the fairgrounds. It was believed that alcohol was involved; Received a report of a hang up call in Irrigon, with ex-husband suspected; Received a report of a suspi cious vehicle at the community center in Irrigon. People were in the middle of moving and were spending the night there; Received a report o f female hitchhiker getting onto road on I- 84 westbound,’ milepost 164; Received a report of a 15 year old runaway from Irrigon; Flood computer froze and was rebooted; To Boardman Police Dept., a report of suspicious activity by the NAPA store in Boardman. Campus Life start up meeting set The Morrow County Commis sion on Children and Families has established a community devel opment fund. The fund will be used for community needs and to leverage other funds and re sources into services, advocacy and unique application projects for the children, youth and fami lies of Morrow County. Approximately $1,000 will be available each quarter and the maximum grant would be $500. Examples of reasonable fund re quests include seasonal program needs; small capital expenditures (except for private property); ser vice program staff training; one time events and pilot projects. Home day care providers may also apply for funds to enhance their services, but they must be registered by the state or have reg istration forms submitted to the state for approval at the time of request for funds. Proposals will be reviewed on Oct. 14 during the monthly com mission meeting and must be re ceived by the commission office by Tuesday, Sept. 30 to be con sidered. Death Notice Judy Gochnauer Judy Gochnauer, North Bend, long time Heppner resident and teacher, died August 17, 1997, at North Bend. Funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 23, at North Bend.
