Rodeo and also the theme for the
parade.

start its route through Heppner at
10 a.m.
Registration w ill begin around
8.30 a.m. at Green Feed and Seed
at the north end o f town. The
parade will travel, as usual, down
Main Street turning toward the
courthouse on M ay
Street.
Judging w ill begin at 9 a.m. with
cash prizes and ribbons handed

"The history o f 75 years o f
Heppner Rodeo was excellent,"
says an anonymous Gazette-
Tim es reader, "but one thing
wasn't mentioned."
In 1930 Heppner eighth-grade
teacher Harold Buhman started a
school band. The band had a
section in the bleachers and
played for each rodeo and also
for the parade, said the reader.
