Local Wells Fargo included in sale
Klamath First Bancorp, Inc.
(KFBI) and its subsidiary, Kla
math First Federal Savings and
Loan Association (KFFSLA),
have announced that the KFFSLA
reached a definitive agreement
with Wells Fargo Bank to pur
chase 25 W ells Fargo Bank
branches located in small towns
and rural areas throughout the
state, including Heppner.
Wells Fargo had previously an
nounced its intent to sell the of
fices which were former First In
terstate Bank branches using a
competitive bidding process. The
sale includes deposit accounts of

these branches will be notified as
to what action, if any, they will

KFBI is the holding company
for KFFSLA, based in Klamath
Falls. KFFSLA was founded in
1934 and currently operates seven

central Oregon. With this acquisi
tion, the company will operate 33
offices in 22 counties throughout
Oregon.

United Way. The money was used
to purchase new blood pressure
cuffs, stethoscopes and inflatable
child car seats for ambulance and
first response units in Heppner,
