(KFBI) and its subsidiary, Kla­ math First Federal Savings and Loan Association (KFFSLA), have announced that the KFFSLA reached a definitive agreement with Wells Fargo Bank to pur­ chase 25 W ells Fargo Bank branches located in small towns and rural areas throughout the state, including Heppner. Wells Fargo had previously an­ nounced its intent to sell the of­ fices which were former First In­ terstate Bank branches using a competitive bidding process. The sale includes deposit accounts of Existing Wells Fargo employees will be offered positions with Kla­ math First Federal. Customers of these branches will be notified as to what action, if any, they will need to take. KFBI is the holding company for KFFSLA, based in Klamath Falls. KFFSLA was founded in 1934 and currently operates seven full service offices and one loan production office in southern and central Oregon. With this acquisi­ tion, the company will operate 33 offices in 22 counties throughout Oregon. approximately $273 million and the branch facilities, and also includes owned branch real estate and leases, branch furniture, fixtures and other fixed assets. The sale does not include loans except for deposit-secured loans.
