a report of stolen tools;

bulance to a residence on Clar-
no Road for an adult male with
an injury. Transport was re
fused;
Morrow County deputy con
tacted an Irrigon female regar
ding a suspicious vehicle;

Fire Dept, and ambulance to a
motor vehicle accident (roll
over) on 1-84 milepost 131;
Morrow County deputy
responded to a traffic problem
in the Irrigon area;
Morrow County deputy ar
rested William Ammons, 24, of
Irrigon on two warrants for
Parole Violation/Forgery I;
Morrow County deputy took
a vandalism complaint from the
Morrow County Road Dept.;
Morrow County deputy
responded to the West Glen
area in Boardman for a traffic
problem.
May 31: Morrow County
deputy responded to the
Boardman area for a report of
vehicle vandalism;
Morrow County deputy took
a report of a broken window at
lone High School;
Morrow County deputy
responded to the Irrigon area
for a report of a theft.
June 1: Morrow County
deputy arrested Bruce Harvey
Leach, 48, of Portland for Driv
ing Under the Influence of In
toxicants. Leach was released
under his own recognizance
and given a date to appear in
court;
Morrow County Sheriff's of
fice dispatched the Condon
Emergency Medical Techni
cians to a residence at the air
base in Condon for an adult
female with an unknown ill
ness. The patient was trans
ported to Gilliam County
Medical Center in Condon;
Morrow County deputy
assisted the Boardman Police
Dept, in checking suspicious
vehicles in the Boardman area;
Morrow County deputy
responded to take a vandalism
complaint at the Irrigon Mari
na;

Bible study class
A Bible study has been plan
ned for June 11, 18 and 25 at the
lone United Church of Christ
(IUCC) at 7:30 p.m. Karen
Gale, the summer ministerial
intern at IUCC will be on hand
for the Bible study. She recent
ly completed her second year at
Pacific School of Religion, a
seminary in Berkeley, Califor
nia, and is in lone for the next
five weeks to learn about
ministry and to share some of
her interests and time with the
congregation.
All interested persons are in
vited to join the adult education
class on the three consecutive
Tuesdays. The class will look at
women in the Old Testament
and how Biblical text works as
literature as well as sacred
scripture.

Memorial Program has spread

The Heppner Garden Club,
on Friday, June 21, at 2 p.m.,
will dedicate the Blue Star
Marker, which is being placed
in the 1903 mini-park, going in
to Heppner on Highway 74.
"The Blue Star Memorial
Marker name was taken from
the Blue Star in the Service
Flag, in honor of the men and
women serving in the armed
