Chamber Chatter
By Claudia Hughes, Chamber Manager
St. Paddy's Day is but a
month away. The brochures
are now available. Each and
everyone is encouraged to mail
them out to friends and rela
tives and to take them along on
conferences and to out-of-town
meetings.
The Chamber had a preview
of the Saturday night musical
show "The Irish Cowboy,"
featuring the Blue Mountain
Barbershop Chorus from La
Grande. Tickets are sure to
disappear rapidly. You won't
want to miss this story of a
young man from Ireland who
comes to Heppner to be a cow
boy.
There's something for every
one this year, from researching
your Irish heritage at the
museum, to volkswalking,
entering the "w e e" bit o'fun
with Porta-Potties on the run
race or bidding on an old claw
legged bathtub during the auc
tion, not to mention lots of Irish
music, food and shenanigans.
Trained 4-H'ers will be pro
viding babysitting services at
the Methodist Church. A wee
bit o'fun (and work) for every
one.
Chamber membership re
newals are coming in. The com
mittee will soon be launching
