Tom is the 14-year-old son of Chris and Judy Skultety, of Stanfield (formerly of Hepp ner), and is a brother to Princess Stefanie. Both Tom and Stefanie served as pennant bearers on the 1992 Court. Tom also has an older sister, Cyn thia, and a brother, Bob. Riding and wrangling is a family affair at the Skultetys, with young Tom riding "turn back" for his dad in cutting competition. As soon as Tom was old enough, he entered 4-H Livestock and Horse clubs, garnering many impressive awards. In addition to 4-H, Tom entered and won Grand Champion at the Union Jr. Show, won Jr. Showman in 1993 in Heppner and Reserve Grand Champion at the Jr. PI last year. At a national open show in Sacramento, Califor nia, Tom won Reserve Grand Champion for his Romagolias calf. He has been busy prepar ing his Hereford-Saler cross steer for the fair and is looking forward to being in FFA at Stanfield High School. Tom also takes time out to play football, basketball and baseball, but admits that he has his eye on a career in the livestock business. 4-H Kids work on showman in preparation for livestock sale BARENBRUG USA BARENBRUG USA: P e n n a n t b e a re r T o m S k u lte ty a p ro (503) 481-4001 — FAX: (503) 481-4002 (503) 963-2842 — FAX: (503) 963-4738 inspection. Their top bulls, Copenhagen Chucker (the star of last year's Lewiston Roundup), Sour dough Kid, Yo Yo, Cuddles and Yellow Knife will do their best to unseat anyone who is aboard. National Finals Rodeo (NFR) bronc C openhagen C h arlie's Girl and DNCF broncs Looking Glass Skoal, Cody Butte, Cotten Eye and Warpath will be some of the saddle broncs offering a chal lenge to the cowboys. The Beards have also added several outstanding new horses and bulls to the Beard Rodeo string. Contractors are proud of their stock and do their best to find animals that test the strength and endurance of the rodeo contestants. So sit back and watch the human athletes try to beat the efforts of the animal athletes. They both relish their work.
