Community booths back at fair
The Morrow County Fair is
bringing back a favorite attrac
tion, the community booths.
Last year, the fair did not
have a designated spot for
them, but after hearing peo
ple's comments about missing
the booths, they will again be

fair secretary.
The fair needs help in filling

garden clubs, youth organiza
tions, community service and
social organizations and farm
organizations.
The deadline to prepare the
booths is August 14 by 8 p.m.

Warren and Frances McCoy
of Irrigon will celebrate their
50th wedding anniversary on
July 22. A reception in their
honor will be held at the Irrigon
Columbia View Church from
2-4 p.m.
Warren and Frances were
married March 6,1945, in Walla
Walla, Washington, while War
ren was home on leave from
the U.S. Navy. They spent
their honeymoon in Boston
where Warren was stationed.

semester of this school year.
She is attending Lewis-Clark
State College in Lewiston,
Idaho, where she is majoring in
elementary education. Upon
graduation in December, she
will be certified to teach K-8th
grades. Currently, she is
employed at The Fashion Bug
in Lewiston.

Bridal Tables
Ninety-eight people attended the senior meal July 12 with six
meals home delivered. Members of the Episcopal Church serv
ed. Marion Brosnan won the meal ticket. The Senior Center Board
met following the meal. Blood pressures were taken before the
meal.
The menu for the birthday dinner, July 26, will be sliced ham,
augratin potatoes, spinach, hot rolls and pineapple upside-down
cake. Members of the Christian Church will serve.
One table of cards was in play Friday afternoon. No movie was
shown on Sunday.
July 14, 19 seniors went by bus to dinner at the Milton-
Freewater meal site, where they enjoyed the music, singing and
a meal. Before returning home, they toured Old Fort Walla Walla.
The bus will leave for Gonty's cabin at Penland Lake at 1:30
p.m. Sunday, July 23, for the potluck picnic. There are still seats
available so sign up at the Senior Center office, bring your favorite
food and lawn chair and join the fun. Ed Baker will be the bus
driver.
There are still a few seats left for the bus trip to the Tri-Cities
Village at Canyon Lakes, July 28.
Other dates to remember: Tuesday and Thursday exercise 10
a.m.; Wednesday blood pressure clinic 11 a.m., senior meal noon;
Friday cards 2 p.m.; Sunday movie 7 p.m..
