The Bible school is sponsored by the Methodist, Lutheran and Episcopal churches and open to all children. Controlled hunt results available Hunters who applied for big game controlled hunts are now able to find out if they were successful in the drawing, ac cording to Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) information representative Mary Hoverson of La Grande. There are two ways ap plicants can check their success, says Hoverson: through a toll- free computerized telephone system, or at a Point of Sale (POS) license vendor. Applicants using the com puterized phone system should have their social security numbers or the computer generated number on their ap plication receipts ready. By following the instructions and entering their number, the com puter will tell them whether they were successful in the drawing. The toll-free number for the computerized phone is 1 800 708-1782. Hoverson anticipates that the lines will be very busy and advises callers to keep try ing. ODFW has increased the number of telephone lines from last year and will be operating the system 24 hours a day. Applicants may also go into any license agent with a POS terminal to find out whether they were successful. If they were, they can purchase their tags on the spot. No tags will be mailed this year; they must all be purchased through a POS license agent. Hunters must purchase their controlled hunt tags by July 31 or those tags will be placed in to the second drawing. Local POS license agents are Coast to Coast Hardware, Heppner, Fossil Hardware, and M & A Auto Parts in Condon. on Juno 24th?
