SOUTH MORROW COUNTY VOTERS: Here’s three good reasons to vote yes on Measures 25-13 and 25-14, The Pool Construction and Operating Measures Vote Y E S 1. Vote “ YES” for new recreation facilities and services to South Morrow County residents. Approval of these measures will allow the Willow Creek Park District to build and operate a swimming pool complex, equipped with an outdoor pool, complete with competition lanes, shotgun slide and deep well, and a zero-depth (beach-like) fan for shallow water activities. Plans also call for a pool house containing dressing rooms, an indoor therapy mini-pool, and a general purpose room. This facility will serve the recreation and fitness needs of children, athletes, families, physically challeng ed, seniors, those needing therapy, and in dividuals seeking exercise opportunities. for the Pool and South Morrow County 2 . Vote “ Y es” to help build community viability and livability at minimal expense. The pool facility will increase the attrac tiveness of the South Morrow County area as a quality place to live, raise a family and run a business-and increase our ability to attract new businesses and jobs. Taxpayer costs for the pooi and added community viability is approx imately 45 cents/$1,000 of assessed value ($27/yr. for a $60,000 home) for the construc tion bond, and approximately 16 cents/$1,000 of assessed value ($9.60/yr for a $60,000 home) for the operating levy. 3 . Vote “ YES” to assist efforts to raise mat ching funds that hold down taxpayer costs. In an effort to hold down taxpayer costs, sup porters of the pool are attempting to raise an additional $250,000 to match voter approved funding. Already, People for the Pool has rais ed $15,000 and $45,000 has been pledged from the Kinzua donation, contingent on ballot measure approval. Other possibilities exist for funding through the State Parks Department and private foundations.
