Basketball
and
Volleyball tournament was a
great success. The tournament
b ro u g h t in approxim ately
$1,350 which will go to scholar­
ships and Heppner youth pro­
grams. A group of community
members put on a special ban­
q u et honoring V ietnam
Veterans during the Alumni
Tournament. Prior to the tour­
nament, the Alumni Associa­
tion Committee assisted with a
youth basketball camp. This
year the camp was put on with
the proceeds going to the Viet­
nam Veteran banquet. The
Alumni Association Committee
would like to thank the com­
munity members for a suc­
cessful banquet. We would also
like to thank the community
and all of those individuals
who helped with the tourna­
ment. It w ouldn't be possible
without all of you! Plans for
next years tournament will
soon be underway. A closeout
meeting of this year's tourney
will be held Tuesday, Jan. 17,
7:30 p.m. at Columbia Basin.
Anyone interested is encourag­
ed to attend. If unable, please
pass comments, suggestions
and ideas to committee chair­
man Dana Reid or committee
members Ken Eckman, Dave
