Dan Burnside grabs a rebound for the Mustangs
It looked like the start of a
blowout when the Riverside
Pirates jumped on top of Hepp
ner 12-4 in the first quarter, last
Saturday night Dec. 10 in
Heppner. But a strong third
period pulled it out for the
Mustangs who came away with
a 49-40 win over their cross
county rivals.

Heppner litt up the scoreboard
20 points to Riverside's
eight, putting the Mustangs up
for the first time, 34-31.
