Residents of north Morrow
County will have a designated
Blue Mountain Community Col
lege coordinator for fall term, ac
cording to officials at the college.
The area serviced by Anne
Morter, BMCC South Morrow
County coordinator, has been ex
tended to include all of Morrow
County.
“ I will be developing classes
for fall term during the summer.
This will include classes offered
in the Boardman and Irrigon
areas.” says Morter. "Residents
of north Morrow who have
specific concerns or class needs
are invited to give me a call.”
M orter’s phone number is
503/422-7040. She hopes to
secure a Boardman phone
number over the summer.
In the past, a few classes have
been offered in the area most
terms. The designation of a coor
dinator comes a year after north
Morrow county residents made a
request for more involvement
from the college. Last fall a study
was conducted by the college to
determine the needs and interest
of Boardman and Irrigon
residents. As a result the number
of classes offered in the area was
increased both winter and spring
terms.
