TEN - Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, May 11, 1994 Sheriff’s Report The Morrow County Sheriffs office reports dispatching the following business during the past few weeks: April 26: Morrow County deputy responded to a Boardman residence for a trespassing complaint. April 27: Morrow County Sheriff s office arrested Charles Brian Barker, 21, Boardman. for Failure to Pay Fine/Minor In Possession, Contempt of Court. Barker was released to the Her- miston Police Department; Morrow County deputy responded to a complaint of an er ratic driver on 1-84, west bound by the Boardman area. April 28: Morrow County Sheriff s office dispatched the Heppner ambulance to Willow Creek for a male with an illness. Patient was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital; Morrow County deputy responded to Anson Wright Park for a report of vandalism done to the gates. The locks had been cut; Morrow County deputy assisted the Boardman Police Depi. in an investigation of a residence’s fence being knocked over; Morrow County Sheriff s of fice dispatched the Fossil am bulance for a medical emergen cy transport at the Asher Clinic; Morrow County deputy assisted the Heppner Police Dept with a domestic violence at a Heppner residence; Morrow County deputy responded to the Hugh Hiatt residence outside of Heppner, in response to a complaint of suspicious persons. April 29: Morrow County deputy arrested Eleno Mendoza, 37, Irrigon. on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Ap- pear/Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. Mendoza was transported and lodged at Benton County Jail; Morrow County Sheriff s of fice dispatched the Arlington am bulance to the ambulance hall for a man with possible heart pro blems. He was transported to Mid Columbia Medical Center in The Dalles. April 30: Morrow County deputy began investigating a theft of vehicle parts from David Bills, an Irrigon resident. Amount of value was unknown at this time; Morrow County deputy responded to an Irrigon residence for a burglary report; Morrow County deputy responded to Lexington and cited Ken Barbee for Maintaining a Dog as a Public Nuisance; Morrow County Sheriff s of fice dispatched the Boardman am bulance to Peters Road in Board- man to transport an elderly per son to Good Shepherd Commun ity Hospital. May 1; Morrow County Sheriff s office dispatched the Boardman ambulance to Russell BP station for a female that had passed out. There was no transport; Morrow County deputy assisted the Oregon State Police in the location of a possible drunk driver on 1-84; Morrow County deputy assisted a stranded motorist by driving a motorist to a residence in Irrigon; Morrow County deputy responded to the Irrigon Mobil Court for a complaint of Loud Music; Morrow County deputy responded to the Irrigon area for a criminal mischief complaint. A window of a vehicle had been shattered sometime during the night; Morrow County Sheriff s of fice dispatched the Arlington am bulance to Hwy. 74, mile post 7. One female was transported to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston with an illness; Morrow County deputy responded to the Boardman area for a report of a missing 14 year old juvenile; Morrow County deputy assisted Umatilla Police Dept with a traffic stop on 1-82, northbound; Morrow County deputy responded to 4th St., Irrigon for a prowler call; Morrow County Sheriff s of fice dispatched the Condon am bulance to Oregon St. One female was transported to Mid Colum bia Medical Center in The Dalles with an illness; Morrow County deputy responded to the Irrigon area for a report of telephone harassment. May 2: Morrow County depu ty responded to Nevada St., Ir rigon, for a complaint of Loud Music; Morrow County deputy responded to the Lexington area for a juvenile problem regarding a dog; Morrow County deputy responded to the Irrigon area for an animal problem regarding lambs being attacked; Morrow County deputy responded to a vandalism call at Wagon Wheel Estates in Irrigon; Morrow County deputy responded to a report of a stolen boat and trailer in Irrigon; Morrow County deputy responded to California Street, Ir rigon, for a report of stolen money. Money was taken from Bill Winter, amount unknown; Morrow County deputy responded to a possible drunk driver at Irrigon Market. Depu ty was unable to locate driver. May 3: Morrow County depu ty responded to the Irrigon area for a juvenile problem; Morrow County Sheriff s of fice dispatched the Arlington Police Dept, to a field fire three miles out of Olex on Upper Rock Creek; Morrow County Sheriff s of fice dispatched the Arlington am bulance to Cottonwood Street for a woman with injuries. She was transported to Mid Columbia Medical Center in The Dalles. May 4: Morrow County depu ty began investigation on a possi ble juvenile problem in Irrigon; Morrow County deputy began investigation of a burglary in Irrigon; Morrow County deputy responded to an Irrigon residence for a complaint of vandalism; Morrow County Sheriffs of fice received a report of an aban doned vehicle on Hwy. 74; Morrow County deputy responded to an Irrigon residence in response to a verbal and physical argument; Morrow County deputy responded to an Irrigon residence to investigate a theft of property; Morrow County deputy assited an Irrigon resident with an ex planation of a civil matter. May 5: Morrow County depu ty responded to the Irrigon area for a family problem that turned out to be a civil matter; Morrow County deputy responded to the Lexington area for a family problem; Morrow County deputy responded to the Irrigon area for a family disturbance; Morrow County deputy ar rested Joseph Paul Focht, 32, Boardman, for Probation Viola tion. He was lodged at Benton County Jail; Morrow County deputy responded to an Irrigon residence on an assault complaint. Ron Engelson, 26, Irrigon was lodg ed at Benton County Jail on two counts of Assault; Morrow County Sheriff s of fice dispatched the Arlington Fire Dept to the Waste Management Plant for a reported fire. May 6: Morrow County Sheriffs office dispatched the Boardman ambulance to a residence on Willow Fork Drive, Boardman, for a patient with an illness. Patient was transported to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston; Morrow County deputy responded to an Irrigon residence to explain a civil matter; Morrow County Sheriffs of fice dispatched the Fossil Fire Dept to Quimby St. Fossil, for smoke from an electric outlet; Morrow County Sheriffs of fice dispatched the Boardman am bulance to the Boardman Health Clinic to tranport a patient to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston with injuries; Morrow County deputy responded to an Irrigon residence in response to a family problem; Morrow County deputy responded to a residence on West Glenn in response to a complaint of a prowler. May 7: Morrow County depu ty arrested Dennis Wesley Selvidge, 25, for Contempt of Court, Failure to Pay Fine. Selvidge posted bail and was released; Morrow County deputy responded to an lone residence regarding a family disturbance; Morrow County deputy responded to a single car motor vehicle accident on 1-84. There were no injuries. May 8: Morrow County Sheriff s office dispatched the Arlington ambulance to mile post 136,1-84, for a one vehicle acci dent. There was no transport; Morrow County deputy responded to the Boardman area for a juvenile problem; Morrow County deputy responded to the West Glenn area, Irrigon, for an animal problem; Morrow County Sheriff s of fice dispatched the Spray Fire Dept to a report of smoke behind the Baptist Church; Morrow County deputy respond ed to the Lexington area for a family dispute. Tom A. Ham- man, 27, Lexington, was arrested for Assault IV/Domestic and Criminal Trespass I. He was lodged at Benton County Jail; Morrow County deputy responded to a report of a distur bance in Irrigon. Problem was resolved; Morrow County deputy began investigating a report of criminal mistreatement in Irrigon. In vestigation is continuing. May 9: Morrow County depu ty responded to Irrigon to in vestigate a report of shots fired. Deputy was unable to locate anything; Morrow County deputy responded to a juvenile problem in Irrigon. May 6, 1994 at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, WA. Zachary joins a brother Mikey, 18 months, at home. Grandparents are Kay and Adele Kunisawa, Maui, Hawaii and Jackie and Rudy Bergstrom, lone. Raul Herrera Ramos, Jr.-a son Raul Herrera was bom to Jennifer Martinez and Raul Ramos of lone on April 18, 1994 at Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston. The baby weighed 7 lbs. 4 oz. Jayci Brianna Patterson-a daughter Jayci Brianna was born to Sombaht Zumwalt of Heppner on April 25, 1994 at Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston. The baby weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. Nature Conservancy seeks volunteers A work party is planned Sun day, May 15 by the Nature Con servancy, at the Lindsay Prairie, near Boardman to help eradicate noxious weeds while viewing the native wildflowers. The Nature Conservatory is seeking volunteers to join one- day and two-day work parties to maintain biologically significant natural areas in northeast Oregon. Participants should dress for the weather, bringing sunhats and sunscreen, water, lunch, gloves and tools if possible. Work par ties will be supervised by the Conservancy’s range ecologist Berta Youtie. For directions and additional information contact Youtie or volunteer coordinator Irene Froyd at 962-3903.
