Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, May 4, 1994 LCDC slates farm land hearings commission, but will not be available in the information packet that is provided to the commission in advance of the May 26-27 hearing. Preliminary information and draft language for the proposed rules will be available in early April. For further information about the proposed rules, hearing loca tion or submission of comments, contact the department at (503) 373-0050. The Land Conservation and D evelopm ent Com m ission tLCDC) will conduct a public hearing concerning additional dwellings on farms and concern ing identification of areas of high value famland May 26 and 27 at the State Capitol Building in Salem and at the Convention Center in Pendleton. The time has not yet been set. Testimony on proposed rules w ill also be heard by the commis sion at its meeting April 14 and 15 in Salem. A new feature of the am bassador program this year is the inclusion of 20 high school sophomores who were recom mended by county 4-H awards and recognition committees. The other delegates were chosen by the state awards and recognition committee from participants in on-going 4-H projects conducted in 4-H project clubs, community clubs, school enrichment or special 4-H programs. Tiffany Lloyd, Boardman, was one of l(K) delegates selected for the 1994 4-H ambassador pro gram to be held June 17 and 18 at Linfield College. The high school-aged youth will attend the annual Am bassador Weekend and will represent 4-H and the youth education program of the OSU extension service at state and local levels during the coming year.
