Fowler is the son of Lori Perry, Irrigon and Ernest Fowler, Louisville, Kan. Navy Seaman Recruit David S. Dooney recently completed basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, 111. During the cycle, recruits are taught general military subjects designed to prepare them for fur ther academic and on-the-job training in one of the Navy's 85 occupational fields. Studies include seamanship, close-order drill, naval history and first aid. Dooney, a 1993 graduate of Riverside High School, is the son of Kevin and Juanita Bohnhoe, Irrigon. M a rin e Pfc. Camp Le- jeune, N .C., students study the fundamentals of engineering sup port for combat units and receive instruction on the tools and pro cedures for building bridges, roads and field fortifications. Studies also include the use of demolitions, landmine warfare and camouflage techniques.
