Deputy was unable to locate anything; Morrow County Sheriff s of fice dispatched the Arlington Fire Dept to the Slatt Sub Station on Rhea Road, three miles south of Arlington on Hwy. 19; Morrow County Sheriff s of fice dispatched the Mitchell, Spray and John Day ambulances and the John Day Jaws and Airlife to the scene of a two vehi cle head-on accident. 10 miles east of Mitchell on Hwy. 26. Two people were dead on arrival and one serious; Morrow County deputy responded to the Irrigon area for a report of a family disturbance; Morrow County deputy responded to 1-84 at mile post 147 for a report of an intoxicated driver. John E. Watts, 44. Van couver, WA. was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. He was released to another party on his own recognizance ; Morrow County deputy responded to Brown's in Irrigon for a shoplifter. Citations were issued; Hip, H ip . G oodbye . Morrow County deputy responded to Pacific Northwest Farms for a report of windows broken. June 30: Morrow County depu ty responded to a two vehicle, non injury motor vehicle accident on Hwy 730; Morrow County Sheriffs of fice dispatched the Boardman Fire Dept and the Boardman Am bulance to a structural fire on Paul Smith Road, pass the canal. A trailer was folly engulfed upon arrival and was a total loss; Morrow County deputy responded to NE 8th in Irrigon for a report of cars racing in the street; Morrow County deputy responded to the Irrigon area to take a report of 22 tires taken from John Gorham. Tires were valued at $30 each; Morrow County Sheriffs Of fice dispatched the Arlington am bulance to the city hall for a sub ject injured in a boating accident. Patient was transported to Mid Columbia Medical Center in The Dalles; Morrow County Sheriffs Of fice dispatched the Boardman Fire Dept to a structural fire on Mt. Adams. The residence was saved but a lot of smoke damage was done; Morrow County Sheriffs Of fice dispatched the Boardman Fire Dept to a grass fire underneath the bridge on 1-84 at Boardman. Fire was contained. Morrow County deputy responded to the Woodland Trailer Court to take a report of two stolen bicycles from Sheila Miller. Bicycles were valued at Lions Club members honored (left) David Sykes and Steve Outgoing Heppner Lions Club president David Sykes and Steve Rhea were honored recently. Sykes and Rhea were honored for their years of service to the club. Sykes was honored for his years of service to the club. He has served four years as president and two years as secretary- treasurer. An 11-year member of the club. Sykes is now chairman of the sight and hearing committee. Rhea has been a member for seven years and has served one year as president and the past Rhea three years as secretary-treasurer. Roger Trueax, Irrigon, replaces Sykes as incoming presi dent. Trueax is a member of the Morrow County Medical Board and is chairman of the North Morrow Vector Control. He is Lions Club district governor-elect 3-G. He has served as Irrigon Club president for four years and as sight and hearing chairman for three years. He served two years each as zone and region chairman and two years as positive youth development chairman in district G. The group’s July meeting will be held at Bull Prairie for a sheep- to-shawl campout on July 10 from noon to 4 p.m. Group members will be camping out for the weekend. The Class of 1973 and 1983 will be having their reunion on July 10 at the Heppner Elks Lodge. They were advised it was a controlled bum; Morrow County Sheriffs Of fice responded to the Heppner area for a report of an animal problem; Morrow County Sheriffs Of fice dispatched the Arlington Fire Dept to a grass fire behind the Methodist Church. Fire turned out to be a controlled burn; Morrow County Sheriffs Of fice dispatched the Boardman am bulance to NW Columbia Ave. for a female. Patient was transported to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston. July 1: Morrow County depu ty responded to Beechers in lone for a silent alarm. Owner had ac cidently set it off; Morrow County Sheriffs Of fice dispatched the Boardman Fire Chief to a possible flare up of a fire in Boardman; Morrow County deputy responded to investigate a report of missing items from the Ethel Male residence in Irrigon. Amount of value was unknown; Morrow County Sheriffs Of fice dispatched the Arlington Fire Dept to a brush fire on Hwy 74. Call was cancelled en route; Morrow County deputy responded to investigate a com plaint of a traffic problem in Irrigon; Morrow County deputy responded to investigate a report of suspicious circumstances in Irrigon; Morrow County deputy responded to investigate a report of possible harassment in Irrigon; Morrow County deputy dispat ched the Arlington Fire Dept to a trailer engulfed in flames on 1-84, mile post 139; Morrow County deputy responded to Irrigon for a com plaint of harassment. July 2: Morrow County Sheriffs Office dispatched the Boardman Fire Dept to a report of a structure fire in the Sunridge Terrace; Morrow County deputy ar rested Kevin James Layton, 32, Umatilla for Burglary I. Layton was lodged at Benton County. July 3: Morrow County depu ty responded to assist Boardman Police Dept with a possible domestic dispute at a residence in Boardman; Morrow County deputy responded to assist the Boardman Police Dept with a possible domestic dispute at a residence in Boardman; Morrow County deputy responded to assist Oregon State Police with a motor vehicle ac cident on 1-84 westbound; Morrow County deputy responded to assist Oregon State Police with a motor vehicle ac cident on 1-84 east bound. Transport was refused; Morrow County Sheriffs Of fice dispatched the Boardman Fire Dept to a grass fire on Kin caid in Boardman; Morrow County deputy responded to Irrigon to in vestigate a possible stolen weapon.
