Special highlight for the day was a new school record set by Lori Moeller in the discus at 72’9” . The old record was held by T. Lindsey in 1985 at 69’1” . Melissa Cutsforth, a seventh grader also broke it earlier at the meet 72’ 1V4” , only to have Moeller break it again. Brent Gunderson took third in the discuss, second in the 100m and medley relay and first in the 200m. David Michael jumped 5’2” while Damien Wilhelm took second in the long jump with 16’. Wilhelm also placed second in the softball throw and fourth in the 100 and 200m. Mindy Qualls took a second in the 200 and 800m, and first in the medley relay. Nicole VanEtta threw the softball for a fourth place finish and was part of the first place medley relay and took third in the 800m. Michael was fourth in the high jump, second in the 400m and third in the 200m. Cam Sweeney took a fifth in the high jump and 1200m. Stacy Lauritsen placed first in the 1200m. Rick Worden took a fourth in the 1200m and fifth in the 800m. Katie Nichols placed third in the 1200m and fifth in the 4x100 relay. Toni Kemp placed fourth in the 1200m. Donald White took a fifth place in the long jump; second in the 100m hurdles and fourth in the 300m hurdles and came in third in the 4x100 relay. Annie Hisler placed fifth in the long jump, fourth in the 100m hurdles and was a part of the first place medley relay team. David Gray placed fourth in the shot with a throw of 33’4 ” , fifth in the softball throw and third in the 4x100 relay. Traci Dickenson took a first in the 100m hurdles, high jump and medley relay. Moeller also placed second in the discus and shot and fifth in the 100m hurdles. Jerid Ployhar placed fifth in the 300m hurdles. Cutsforth took a third in the discus and fifth in the shot. Jim Schlaich placed third in the Lori Moeller (above) and Melissa Cutsforth (bottom picture) get ready to throw the discus. Melissa originally broke the school record and at the same meet Lori broke Melissa’s. \ 9 4 . - 400m and fifth in the 200m. Jeff Watkins placed fifth in the 400m. third in the 800m and second in the medley relay. Eric Schonbachler took third in the softball throw with an injury. Tyson Palmateer placed sixth in the softball throw and third in the 4x100 relay. Chris Jones was a part of the third place 4x100 relay, second in the medley relay and fourth in the 800m. Sherry Seiler, Amber Rollis and Cimmie Huth were all part of the fifth place 4x100 relay team. Mindy Binschus took sixth in the discus. The Junior High track team will finish their season this Thurs day. May 13 at Pendleton on the BMCC track at 1 p.m. Holly Rebekahs hold special meeting By Delpha Jones Holly Rebekah Lodge met on Thursday evening. May 6 for a special meeting to installl officers not previously installed and to in itiate a new member Marlene Gray. Donna Blades and her in stalling team from Sunbeam 0180 Hermiston conducted the installa tion. The team included Ruth Olsen. Rhoda Davis, Maxine Higley, Sadie Webb. Merle Green. Grand Master John Blades of the Oddfellows was introduced The initiation was held with Holly officers in charge with the N.G. Kathy Tellechea presiding. Installed were Leila Palmer, N.G.; Annetta Padberg, V.G., Kathy Clark, chaplain; Kathy Tellechea, PSNG; Geri Martin, conductor; Luella T aylor, warden; Marlene Gray, LSVG; Dorothy Jackson RSVG. Refreshments were served. The Sunbeam members invited this group to visit and explained that they are in the process of get ting a new meeting place.
