St. Patrick’s Senior Center Bulletin Board Oy C *yo I Happnur There were 120 people including three guests at the Easter dinner at the Senior Center on April 7. Ten meals were taken out. Sue Vin son won the meal ticket and Ida Lynn the door prize. Tommy Steagal and Sue Vinson wore decorated Easter bonnets and modeled them for everyone. Members of the Christian Life Center served. Mel and Lois Allyn are the host and hostess for April. The Meal Site Com mittee met following dinner. Marilyn Bergstrom, head cook, and her mother, Ruth, were both ill. It is hoped that they will be well soon. The menu for April 21 will be barbecue beef on a bun, tossed salad, carrots, peaches and pudding. Members of the Catholic Church will serve. Meals can be delivered to seniors who are unable to attend. Call the senior office 676-9030 by Tuesday, or early Wednesday. The office opens at 9 a.m. The Extension Service will recognize the senior volunteers who assist them during dinner. The Focus on Health group will meet at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 15 to finalize plans for the health fair which will be held in the din ing room April 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is no admission charge. There will be displays of good health promoting ideas and free healthy snacks. There will be a party in the dining room Sunday, April 18 from 1 to 4 p.m. honoring A1 Fetsch on his 80th birthday. This seeding project is designed to improve diversity of available forage for wildlife and livestock, and to improve cover and distribution of animals. This project will treat approximately 1,536 acres of existing harvest units through aerial application. There will be no ground disturbance. The associated Decision Memo and Project File are available upon request from the Umatilla National Forest. Heppner Ranger District, P.O. Box 7, Heppner, Oregon OR 97836.
