Boyer scored an impressive 32 points for his team. Dick said that he felt the best game was between the classes of 1990-92 and ‘81-83. Two college players opposing each other heightened the excitement he said. Another highlight of the tour nament, said Dick, was the presentation of two special awards in honor of long time sup porters of youth athletics, who have passed away. Plaques were presented to the families of Howard and Jo Pettyjohn and Hilda Yocom. “ The Alumni Association and Booster Club really cherish the opportunity to show appreciation to the families for their loyal support of athletics,” said Dick. Despite the low turnout because of weather conditions, Dick said that the tournament still made around $1,500. Proceeds will go to Mike Currin scholar ships and to Heppner youth athletics and activities. Dick credits the alumni association and coaches with suc cess of the event. “ People are really com mitted to do a marvelous jo b ,” he added.
