Everyone is invited to attend
the Heppner alumni basketball
tournament which will be held
Friday through Sunday, Jan. 1-3.
Admission is $3 for adults, $1
for students or $15 for a family
pass. Children must be supervis­
ed and are not allowed on the
balcony. The balcony is for adults
only.
The basketball games start Fri­
day at 1:30 p.m. and are double
elimination. The pre-68 team will
play the non lettering team.
The rest of the schedule is as
follows: 3 p.m. ‘69-‘72 vs
‘73-76; 6 p.m. ‘90-92 v s ‘81-83;

There were 120 people in attendance for the Christmas dinner on
Wednesday, Dec. 16 at the Senior Center, with four guests and 11
dinners sent out. Members of the Catholic Church served. Truman
Messenger won the meal ticket, Wanda Johnson the door prize and
Mrs. Gus Streether of Spray received the guest prize. The Nutrition
Site Committee met following the dinner.
The menu for the birthday dinner Dec. 30 will be meatballs with
mushroom gravy, broccoli, mashed potatoes, rolls, ice cream and
cake. Members of the Baptist Church will serve.
Fifty-four people gave blood at the Red Cross blood drawing at
the Senior Center Dec. 17. The Catholic Church sponsored the drive.
A large group of small children from the elementary school carol­
ed in the halls at the St. Patrick’s Senior Center on Thursday even­
ing, Dec. 17. The tenants were delighted to hear their beautiful voices.
Now that the end of the year is near seniors should be reminded
of services available to them.
Dinner is every Wednesday at noon. Seniors are served nourishing
food and may visit with friends and relatives. Homebound seniors
may order a meal on Wednesday by calling the center office, 676-9030
and it will be delivered to them.
Meals on Wheels may be obtained the other week days by calling
the Pioneer Memorial Hospital dietician to make arrangements
676-9133.
A toot clinic is held at the center the first Wednesday of each month.
Call the Home Health Department at the hospital for an appointment.
Blood pressures are taken at the center the second and fourth
Wednesdays before dinner.
The dollaride car is available to take seniors to appointments or
for shopping. Call Jane Rawlins 676-9435. or the center office.

office Tuesdays and Thursdays; exercise class is Tuesday and Thurs­
day, 10-10:30 a m.; Bible study on Monday. 10:30-11:30. The
quilting will resume on Mondays in January from 1-4 p.m.
