Chamber Chatter By Claudia Hughes, Chamber Manager This smokey, hazy morning reminded me that fall is just around the comer. Harvest is drawing to a close and the coun ty is preparing for the annual Morrow County Fair and Oregon Trail Pro Rodeo. Grab your hat (as in “ Hats Off to Morrow County’’) and send in your parade entry form to Chamber parade chairman Bryan Traylor. We want this to be the biggest and best parade...a salute to Morrow County. A trip to Ontario accompanied by Cara Osmin, resulted in Mor row County’s inclusion in the Eastern Oregon Visitors Associa tion, formerly Northeastern Oregon Vacationlands. The Mor row County Tourism Committee felt that belonging to this regional group would benefit Morrow County in numerous ways. They were receptive to our offer and welcomed us. Two represen tatives and one alternate will be required to attend monthly meetings in LaGrande. EOVA in cludes the counties of Morrow, G rant. U nion, W allow a, Malheur, Baker and Umatilla. The group was the recipient of $107,150 in lottery funds for marketing eastern Oregon. Hepp ner Chamber encourages all per sons with tourism interests to become involved with the Mor row County Tourism Committee. Benefits are far reaching.
