ference of the UCC will install
lone’s new minister, the Rev. Lea
Mathieu, on Sunday, May 31 at
4:30 p.m. at the church. The
public is invited.
Installation is the formal
recognition of the mutual respon­
sibilities of the church and its new
minister, and of the relationship
between the local church and the

Pacific Conference minister will
preside over the formal order of
installation; the Rev. Trish

lone UCC will give the charge to
the minister.
Rev. Mathieu, a Seattle native,
joined lone on January 1.

retired.

Kinzua and in Heppner, said per­
sonnel director Paul Sumner.
Graham, who was bom and
raised at Kinzua, began working
in the woods at the mill there in
1953. He began running proper­
ty lines and marking timber.
In 1978 when the mill at Kin­
zua closed he moved to Heppner.
He ended his career buying logs
and timber and purchasing land.
Graham says that he has seen
a lot of changes in the log scal­
ing equipment and in the mills,
‘‘some to the better and some
not.”
Graham and his wife, Rosie,
have two daughters, Mary Dun­
ning, Heppner and Helen
Ekstrom , lone, and three
grandchildren.
While he says he has no special
plans for retirem ent, he
said he is “ looking forward” to
it. ‘‘It will be a change,” he
added.

of appreciation of ‘‘meritorious service” on the city planning
commission.
Cox resigned March4 after seven years of service.

Mr and Mrs. Donald Lee Hunt of Beaverton announce the engage­
ment and coming marriage of their son Donald Dale Hunt to Carol
Ann Liebertz. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alphonsus Liebertz. all of
Beaverton.
Liebertz is a graduate of Saint Mary of the Valley High School.
She graduated with a bachelors degree from Portland State Univer­
sity and has a master's degree in education from Pacific University
and psychology from Beaver College in Pennsylvania. She current­
ly works for Muntor and Castles in Beaverton.
Hunt graduated from Jesuit High School in Portland and has a
bachelors degree from Oregon State University in computer science.
He is currently employed by Unisys Corporation in Portland.
The wedding will be held June 6. 1992 at St Cecilias Catholic
Church. Beaverton.
