lone youth group shares
slides with area churches
BOWLING
By Anne Morter
The lone Youth Group met Oc
tober 30 in the United Church of
Christ basement to view the slides
from their Burnside Service Project,
done in mid-October. The students
signed up to share the slides with the
various churches in the area. Crystal
Minster and Jason Proudfoot will do
a presentation at the Episcopal
Church, Mike Garrett, Kari Morgan
and Justin Miller will share with the
congregation at the United Church
of Christ, Michelle Kandle, Heidi
Orem and Jim Garrett will handle the
presentation at the Catholic Church
and Danielle Stefani, Kristine Bedor-
tha and Brandi Ball will share
highlights of their trip at the
Lutheran Church.
The students who made the service
trip also signed their banner at the
meeting. It was decided to do
another service trip, but not until
March when basketball season is
over.
Nine students signed up to attend
the Seattle Youth Convention
November 16 and 17. The title of the
convention is ‘‘Seeing With New
E yes.” Thirty eight different
workshops are available for the
students to choose from.
Once again, the youth group will
sell Christmas trees. Orders are cur
rently being taken for Douglas, No
ble, Shasta and Grand Fir trees. For
price and order information, contact
Jeri McElligott at 422-7257 or Heidi
Orem, Crystal Minster, Danielle
