Sherman Murray of Rhea Creek
Saddlery displays saddle he made for
the Morrow County Rodeo calf rop
ing winner.
The saddle is donated each year by
the Kinzua Corp, and this is the third
year Murray’s company has done the
work.
“I know how sought after this
award is,” Murray said of the calf
roping saddle. He mentioned that the
saddle is very well known
throughout rodeo circles, and that
three members of his family, a
brother and two nephews, have won
it.
“It’s a real pleasure for me to
make these saddles, living in the
county as I am,” Murray said.
The saddle will go on display at
Gardner's Mens Wear downtown
Heppner before the rodeo.
