On Saturday, May 12, the Hepp-
ner Mustangs faced the Pilot Rock
Rockets. The Mustangs needed on
ly one win to clinch second place in
the CBC.
Jim Kindle started on the mound,
keeping the Rockets in check the
whole game. He gave up only one
hit, struck out 12, allowing no runs.
The Mustangs gave Kindle all the
run support he needed. The first two
came on an RBI single by Doug
Devin and an RBI by Brandon Pedro
for a 2 to 0 Mustang lead.
The Mustangs got two more runs
in the fourth, two in the fifth and one
in the sixth to give the Mustangs a
7 to 0 victory. Tom Kenny lead the
Mustangs with two hits.
In game two, the Mustangs fell
apart, committing seven errors, and
letting the Rockets score six unearn
ed runs.
Tucker Hodgen was on the mound
for the Rockets. The Mustangs had
six hits but could score only two
runs. Bob Krein and Jim Kindle had
two hits each for the Mustangs.
