Drago announced that the Oregon
State Sheriff»' A»»ociation 1 » giving
32 S500 scholarships to seexmd year
students m law enforcement and cor
ractions in Oregon The scholarships
are provided as a result of a fund
raising drive by the sheriffs through
the Honorary Sheriffs Membership
Program
Sheriff Drago said that students in
terested in apply ing for a scholarship
should apply through the financial
aid office of their community college
or university In Oregon, all com
munity colleges except Central
Oregon and Umpqua have pn>grams
in law enforcement and corrections

lege in Ashland, Western Oregon
College in Monmouth. Portland
Slate University and the University
of Portland have programs where
students can armly for the scholar-
