Memorial built in Irrigon for family

Libby Bo vent has found a special
way to express her love for her
beloved husband and daughter
Libby, resident of Irrigon-
Umatilla, and owner of Radio Shack
in Hcrmiston. and George Gnsby,
owner of Imgon Stone in Irrigon
have designed a memorial thaï is
under construction at the City Park
in Irrigon.
The memorial will he quite an an
display and tounst attraction when
completed Three deer. Sacajawca.
interpreter and guide for the Lewis
and Clark Expedition will be
mounted on a cement slab A foun
tain with colorful lights and a lagoon
will accent the deer family and Saca-
jawea Benches with the names
Reynold Webber. Libby's husband,
and Sharon W ebber. Libby's

Ray (Reynold) served three terms
in thé Viet Nam War while in the
Navy for ten years I.ibbs considers

Sharon Webber was the youngest
of six children and the only girl She
enjoyed drawing, con posing poems,
concerning the vast love she had for
her family, basketball, fishing, cam
ping and (he great outdoors Sharon
attended the ninth grade at Umatilla
High School
Her life came to a sudden end al
the age of fifteen while walking to
the local store from her home
Sharon was abducted in December
of 1978 and remained missing until
1985 A cattleman near Cold Springs
reservoir fiwnd her body A few
weeks later her xtqv father Ray died
George is donating his time fix

organization to give her husband an
