Houghton Elementary School She was active in school sports and rodeo. Becky was a member o f the Ir rigon 4 H Livestock Club, the U m atilla Sage Riders. Turner in Hood K iser on O ctob er 4 . 1911 M r.T u rn er preceded his wife in death on August 23, I4 8 7 Mrs T u rn e r attended school and graduated from lone High School She nxived to Baker in the spring of 1938 with her husband from Hepp ner In Baker they owned and operated the Mobile (h i Distribution Company for 23 years, retiring in the spring o f 146.1 She had served with the Gray laidies in Baker for many years. Colo She moved to Nyssa, in 1937 and married Robert C Smith on Sept 3. 1946 In 1968 she moved to Pendleton and worked for the Oregon Motor Vehicles Division for many years before moving to Irrigon in 1980 She continued to work for the state at Um atilla until her retirement Mrs Smith w as a member o f the First United Mcth*>dist Church, ser sing on regional boards for United Methodist Women She was a leader in Church Women U nited, an ecumenical group working for uni ty among Christian denominations She was active in extension study groups in Pendleton and was a member o f the North Morrow Coun ty Extension Group in Im g o n Survivors include a daughter, Karin Gray o f Albany; a son. Karl Smith o f Irrigon; brothers, Owen Council o f New Plymouth. Idaho, and Harry Council o f Denver. C olo.; a sister.
