However, the Fillies were able to
overcome the disadsantage at the
chanty stripe, and scored 11 points
lo take a commanding 2 3 -13 lead at

Tami Lindsay came alive to score
s u points in the third period to help
Heppner to their largest lead, 15

T’was the week before District and all through the halls.
The Mustangs and Fillies dreamt of hoop balls.
The game plans were laid with meticulous care
In hopes of good tu rnout and refs that were fair
But back in the locker rooms all filled with steam.
Carri was wary and Amy was green
These jitte rs are critters that make us up-tight.
So how do we beat them?" They asked Nance Wright
'lu s t talk to the others, I think you will find
There are lots of good ways to take bugs off your m ind"
Now Tami and Sandi and Jill, it turned out.
Crank the music up loud and go rockin' about
And Nikki and Angie and Jennifer sing.
And Lib, Kim and Nancy have pizza pie flings
The guys, it was learned, have a whole different style
Tim and Randy play bongos. Doug gets flat wild
Russell and Dick go real fast in their cars.
While Bob. Will and Barney consult with the stars
Slater and Eric get down and get bad.
"And me." giggled Bryan. “ I just kiss my Dad!"
So with jitter bugs banished, it’s On With The Show
Step out on that ball-court and GO-TEAMS GO!
