Alaska Tricia C oe, Libby Britt. Christie Strocher. Nance Wright. Brandon and Casey Pedro. Cory Rill and Scott Johnston worked very hard making money to help defer the cost o f the tnp They sold hakrd potatoes during St Pal's Day, washed cars at Cal's Service Center, pulled rye in lone for two days and helped the ASCS office clean the W illow Creek channel. They were accompanied on the tnp hy Judy Wright and Angie Pedro They began their trip by renting a van and driving 3.000 miles to Pnncc Rupert From there they took a ferry overnight to Juneau where they spent 5 days with their host family . . . - On the way. they stopped at Ab- bnteford to lour a modern-day dairy farm The farm kepi 250 cows and il look only Iwo hours lo milk them The cows wore informational discs around their necks that indicated . how much feed they were lo be fed This information was read by the computer when they went lo the feeders lo be fed Several o f the students hiked up the Mendenhall Glacier which look sis hours Pan o f the group Maned back at the halfway point.
