of service.
Kirhs began his banking career in
1951 .It the H. xh I R hra branch He
moved to the Fossil branch in 1936
and was named manager in 1969
For the last five years, he has also
served as manager of First In
terstate's Condon branch
Kirby has been involved with the
Fossil Community Club since 1936
and has served as treasurer of the
d u b for the past several years He
is currently president of Fossil Com
munity T V . Inc . the community-
ow nod cable teles ision company He
also serves on the Fossil School
Board Budget Committee and the
I ossil Parks Commission. He and
his wile have six grown children.

The Oregon Restaurant and
Beverage Association (ORBA), a
irade association representing 900
restaurants, lounges, taverns and
resorts statewide, has endorsed these
local candidates for their races to the
Oregon legislature
Debbie Wall. Executive Director

dorsement was made at ORB.A’i re
cent Annual Convention held in
Newport
In explaining ORBA’s endorse
ment. Wall stated, "alter con

Court in Hermiston
The Morrow County Fair and
Rodeo Court of 1972 entertained the
Morrow County Fair and Rodeo
Court of 1989 at a luncheon held at
the Munkers home in Hermiston on
Saturday. October 15 Hostesses
were Queen Susie French Ward,
Princess Anne Hoskins Munkers,
Princess Patty Luc umi Matheny and
Princes Kerry Coppock Pettyjohn
The ocher 1972 princess. Dehbic
McCoy Bums was unable to attend
due to illness.

Officer. Donna Rietmann. attended
the semiannual statewide Oregon
County Veterans Service Officer
Conference held October 19-21 in
Wilsonville.
The session, sponsored by the
Oregon Department of Veterans’ Af
fairs. provided county veterans ser
vice officers with updated informa
tion necessary to assist Oregon
veterans, their widows or widowers
and dependents in applying for state
and federal veterans' benefits in such
areas as; housing, education,
counseling, claim s, insurance,
employment, medical, compensa-
tkvn. and pension

Veterans Administration. Wayne
Hammock, Medical District Coor

elected as an alternate delegate to the
105th Annual Meeting of the
Am erican Angus A ssociation,
November 13-15 in Izxnsvillc. Ken
tucky, reports Richard Spader, ex
ecutive vice president of the
American Angus Association.
Gneb, a member of the American
Angus Association with head
quarters in St Joseph. Missouri, is
one of some 260 Angus breeders
who have been elected by fellow
members of their state association to
serve as alternate representatives at
the Annual Meeting At this time,
the state delegates will participate in
the business meeting and elect a new
president, vice president and five
directors to the American Angus
Association Board
