EIGHT • Hrppnrr Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, October 5, IWW Rebekah’s hold 67th District meeting in Lexington -:• The 67th D istrict meeting o f Rebekah District #20 » u held at the H olly Kehckah hall in Lexington on Saturday The coffee hour was held from 9 X> 10 to a m The meenng was called to order hy the H olly N G Luella Taylor, opening in regular form The introduction com mittee escorted the officers and in troduced them The meeting was then turned to the District Chairman, I n la Palmer, who had a fine prepared program lor the day The in v ita tio n was given by the Chaplain. Dorothy Jackson followed by the address o f Welcome by V irgin ia Peck and the response by V ivian McConnell A lte r the reading o f the minutes by secretary Annetta Padberg, the business o f the day began with a tribute to Past Chairman, by Bun chgrass with the Indies being in troduccd and a gift presented to them The exem plyfying o f receiv ing an application for membership was held with Holly doing the part, a Tribute to the 50 year members was given by Sans Souci w ith gilts presented the ladies The meeting adjourned for a delicious luncheon prepared by the members ol Holly There were floral pieces o f potted plants with matching napkins The center pieces were given as door prizes, with some of them going to the Pioneer Memorial Hospital members. Washington team The first game the Fillies had trouble at the net They were unable to stop the devastating tips that put Heppner behind 7-0 Heppner was never able to catch up ami lost 15-9.
