The Mustangs had a shaky first half as their shots weren't dropping and turnovers were a problem Heppner ended the half with a short lead of 37-31. The second half went better for the Mustangs as Dick Dcsin put in 11 of his 18 points in the second half The Mustangs went on to defeat the Cardinals 72-52 Bry an Padherg led the team in scoring with 25 points while Russell Britt added 12 points and Dick Devin with 18 points Barney Lindsay led the Mustangs with 17 rebounds Die Mustang played their first league game against the Weston McEwen Tiger Scotts on f-riday.
