Cougars Friday. January 8. in the
first league game o f the season The
night was cold and blizzardinjt but
the game proved to be a good one
fo r the Cards The first quarter pro
ved to be a cold one for both teams

lead Sophomores Amy Wagenblast
and Jo Cuppa led the Cards in scor
ing w ith Wagenblast scoring 10
points and Cupps scoring 8 points
Wagenblast also pulled down a game
high 5 rebounds
Echo nearly caught up in the
fourth quarter cutting the lead to 3
but d id n 't have enough left to pull
ahead The Cougars went 8 24 from
the free throw line while lone went

first place in the Big Sky Cimference
with a record o f I -0 in the league and
1-5 for the season

went to Portland to live w ith her
sister
Her husband, Otto, and one son,
Eloyd. died earlier
Survivors include sons. Gene o f
Heppner anil Stanley o f Portland, a
d a u g h te r, M a rio n C o n n o r o f
Portland, a brother Floyd Osborn o f
Portland. 14 grandchildren and 20
great grandchildren
