Powell Boulevard from 2-5 p m., Sunday. September 13 - will celebrate the 120th anniver sary of Parry Center for Children As part of the celebration. Parry Center is seeking to make contact with form er residents, staff members, volunteers and friends who are still in the state They are invited to return to the campus, tour the buildings and meet old friends Parry Center is a treatment center for emotionally disturbed children, providing both residential and out patient treatment to about 500 children a year It initiated Oregon's first treatment program for emo tionally disturbed children in 1959 Before that time, severely disturbed children were sent to the state men tal hospital and basically "warehous ed" in adult facilities the agency has had several names but only one goal since its founding in 1167—"to care for children who have no place to go " Stock sale starts at 6 p.m. Saturday The 4 H and FFA livestock auc tion will begin at 6 p m Saturday in the show ring at the fairgrounds The annual market sale is spun sored by the Morrow County Livestock Growers Association Morrow County youth are fortunate to have the support of the livestock growers The Livestock Growers arc fully responsible for the sale, and the delivery of the animals The First In terstate Bank employees assist as clerks and recorders for the sale Buyers may pay for their pur chases the night ot the sale or mail in their payment after the sale For the sake of both the youth and the book keepers, a prompt payment is appreciated Buyers that can t attend the sale may give a bid to Bill Van Schouick. president of the Livestock Growers or any of the Morrow County Livestock Growers members who plan to help with the sale Methodists to discuss schedule change All members and friends of the Heppner United Methodist Church are reminded of the Administrative Council Meeting to be held this Sun day.
