Traffic deaths down
from last year
County Sheriff considers taking
over Irrigon law enforcement
Fifty-nine people died in Oregon
traffic accidents in July, according
to the Motor Vehicles Division
The 1987 figures is down Irotn Ju

The July 1987 figure inc ludes two
traffic deaths which occurred on

five double fatality accidents during

M arion. Clackamas, Klamath.
Umatilla and Multnomah counties
The fatalities include II drivers,
nine passengers, ten motorcyclists,
four pedestrians and five bicycle
riders.

would take over law enforcement in
