C a lifo r nia thanks to her sons John from Wyoming and Boh 4mm Monmouth who gave their mother an Amtrak ticket She spent the month visiting her sisters Helen and Mahle Davis who arc married to brothers They did a lot o f visiting, shopping and eating out On the way home she stopped in Portland to help her twim brother Herman and his wile Marge celebrate their 5<Xh wedding an niversary Herman and his wife arc lormer Heppner residents, while here he operated a barber shop Mr and Mrs Hllis Pettyjohn were in Portland and they brought Irma home D u rin g the F ourth o f July weekend Hob was here visiting his Mother along with a friend Mary from Monmouth Irma also tells me she has a new granddaughter three months old who lives in the same apartment as she does so she really enjoys her -Elwyn and Maude Hughes celebrated their 50th wedding an niversary with a potluck dinner in the City Park In attendance were their daughter Margaret, her hus band Tom Hamm and their children. Roben and his wife Kim . Wes and Debbie Hamm. Brenda Whitten and her daughter. Mary, all o f Rich mond. Virginia, their sons, Roy and Leora and son Brian from Albany, and Don and Gail from Vancouver.
