Contact Mike Rowell or Dorian Forrar By Ashley 1 onklin A new coach hopes to bring some new magic to the Heppner varsity boys basketball team this season Mike Royer, who was 37 12 in three years a* the head girls coach and won a state championship last year, assumes double duty this season taking over for Brent Fggers who stepped down following a 14 ‘Ic in i paign and a state tournament ap pearame last season f ggers was the Mustangs bead coach tor tour years Royer hopes to bring some of the same ideas that made him successful as a girls coach by running the fast break wheneser possible, utilizing Ihe team's outside shooting ability, and running a I -3 I /one defense " I think I have found a few things that w o rk ."
