Presley said "Because I spent so much tunc breaking down offenses and seeing what did and didn't work against them. Ihc H eppner v a rs ity volleyball team this year hopes just to return to the district tournament Under first-year coach Julie Reynolds, the 1485 F illy volleyball team went undefeated in Columbia Basin Conference Fastern Division play, »on (heir first ever District 7-A volleyball title, »on their match with Pine Hagle in the regional tour nament, placed fifth in the Class " A " state tournament, and finished w ith a 16-3 o v e ra ll record However, seven o f last season’s top eight players, including five o f six starters, graduated The Fillies do return senior Missy Fuhanks. a first team Eastern Div ision all star a year ago. however At first glance. I486 would appear to be a rebuilding year for Heppner Not so. says first year coach Terri Gentry, the assistant coach a year ago " I don’t think it w ill be that much o f a rebuilding year, because most o f these girls have played togetlier on the |umor varsity level fo r the last two years," she said Senior Cindy Strocbcr and tumor Shannon M cl^iughlin finished out the year with the Fillies last season and did see some action in the stale tournament However.
