team out lasted Hcppner's 12-8 on
Friday. May 16 The Mustangs
finished the year with a 6-12 league
and overall record, the identical
league mark they had last season on
their way to an overall reoerd of
6 14
Singles by Jerry Lankford. Brian
Miller. Gary longhorn, and Allan
Orr, plus walks issued to Scott
Miller and Rick Rasmussen provid
ed the Rockets with a 4 0 cushion
after the first half inning
The Mustangs made it 4-1 after
one inning when Scott Davis pound
ed a single and came home on Bob
Riehl’s single
Nine Heppnet hatters came to the
plate in the bottom of the second and
hounded Rocket ace longhorn with
five runs for a 6-4 advantage
Troy Hyatt led things off with a
walk and went to second on a single

lead which they carried on to
victory

Weston McEwen's baseball teams
used five runs in the fifth and sixth
innings, three of those coming in the
sixth inning to squeak out a 7-6 win
over the Heppner Mustangs on Tuev
day. May 13
Things started out well for the
Mustangs as they led 3-0 after the
first inning
Singles by icadoff man Diran
Hayes and Troy Haytt. and four
TigerScot errors helped score
Hayes. SciNt Davis (who walked),
and David Pedro (who reached first
on an error)
Craig Angell added runs in the sc
cond and fourth innings for the
Mustangs after reaching first on a
single and walk respectively to put
Heppner ahead 5-2.
In the top of the fifth inning. Mark
Fishbum was hit by a pitch, and then

and Soft Struthcrs each shooting an
18 to lead the Heppner girls to a 76
