DIRKWIN A story in last week s newspaper. “ Proposed County budget down ." was in error Additional positions are not apprmed for the Accounting Dept , the Assessor's office or the Public Works Office The newspaper regrets the error The first two paragraphs explaining the general fund should have read as follows Salaries and benefits for employ ees covered in the General Kund are budgeted at thr same as last year or al the same increase as negotiated with employees in the road depart ment Klected officials did not rec eive raises last year, so are expected to be included for raises this year calculated on the same rate of increase as classified employees Negotiations arc not yet complete, so anticipated amounts are included in the salary contingency fund The Assessor's office is requesting that the position of Deputy Assessor by upgraded to data analyst because 180 stale appraised industrial acc ounts have reverted back to the county. The Accounting Dept is requesting that the current half time accounting clerk be increased to a full time position The Public Works Dept request for promoting the bookkeeper to Public Works Office Manager and hiring a half time secretary was not considered in the budget committee Although there is currently no County Counsel, the position has been included in the budget with the salary listed the same as last year Now loading 422-7204 When vthi set aside land under the new (arm bids Conservation Never.e Program or Acreage Reduction Pngram, tile place to gel the s«-txi you want for those (M is is vour k» al CENEX co-op Most s*xsl n>ni|viines donl offer (Mstiin- mixes pasture grass«-s and other lorages for your special tnxxls like CENEX Hut CENEX gives you tin- largest choice vou (.in lind CENEX will even make ns immietidatinns mail I ks I to your laud and tanning pr.H lx es Thai's tvpK.tl of the wide range of programs products and seres«-, vou < .in count on tn>m CENEX Slop in and s«s- lor yourself—and aider tin- pasture mix wxi nissl lor vour wt aside . k res T akinc ; cari : a< 1HK OCXJNT’KYS BUSINESS Cleaned & Treated M o rrow County •Grain G row ers 350 Mam St. Lexmgion, OR 97039 989^221 1800 452-7396 Hurry in Today For Big Savings!
