Letters to the Editor
On behalf of an old arthritic cat
To the F.ditor
I am writing this on behalf of a 25
pound, old arthritic cat And I am
writing it to the owners of 2 large,
light colored dogs who came onto
our front porch Sat . Sept 14. about 5
a m and attacked our cat I had Just
let him out so thank God I was still
awake and heard the racket on the
porch as he tried lo get away from
them
The arthritis is bad in his hips and
he couldn't get away One of them
had him by the thigh and was
shaking him A few seconds later
and I would have been too late to
save him lie will live but he was
badly hurt
My letter is also to everyone in the
community to alert them of the fact
that such animals are running loose
Please take extra precautions for
the safety of your cats and small
dogs
Tiger was putting up the best fight
he could I do sincerely hope there
are two large light colorrd dogs wtih
enough deep cat scratches that they
suffered some too and that the
owners will see the scratches and
realize that their dogs did this
Those dogs should be chained or
fenced in
Sincerely.

Present statutes governing Fair
Boards require any entry fee* to be
receipted into the general Fair and
Rodeo budget Horse Show moneys
are receipted under a line dedicated
to Horse Show Revenues The same
amount of money is then itemized
under Horse Show (expenditures, lo
be expended as the Horse Show
O— UnttW dictate* The Rodeo
Committee also must receipt all
revenues from donations and other
moneys allocated to the rodeo and
budget the expenditures from these
revenues Required procedures
should be familiar to anyone serving
as a committee officer and one
individual cannot issue the man
dates of an entire organization
The quality of the present Morrow
County Horse Show would not be
possible without the support of the
community Approximately 4U0
entries were taken at the 85 Horse
Show, with 70 exhibitors recorded
For those w ho objected to support -
ing this year's Fair through a $1
admission charge, perhaps they
should volunteer to be a superin
trndrnt. spending many hours and
(lays to mskr a fair possible, they
would therefore receive a free pass
though many present superinten
dents chose to buy a (2 50 fair
button There are business and
individuals who donated much more
to support the Fair and Rodeo
Statistics show that (2 130 was
receipted in donated moneys, and
$4.000 was received in donated mer
chandise for the rodeo alone I
believe $8.330 is a generous contri
button from a county of 7.500 popu
la t ion besides (he support given
through participation by means of
food services, exhibit space,
awards, gate ticket taking, co
sponsorship of the parade, school
bus usage, and support of the 4 11 &
FFA auction With all this involve
inent. I believe the "dear people of
Morrow County " are most generous
with their time, efforts, and money,
and I personally would like to thank
everyone for their support
