On the last Sunday oi the Katr and
Kudeo week the Wranglers Hiding
•Tut) puts on a cowboy breakfast
This is for the people of the rommun
ity to enjoy , and for the d u b to make
money to pay for year end awards
for the kids in the club
This breakfast has been pul on for
some time now at the fair grounds on
the Sunday of rodeo
To my
knowledge no one has ever been
charged admission at the gate to the
grounds in order to go to the
breakfast That is up until this year
with a total disregard for the
Wranglers Club, the Fair Hoard
decided to charge tl admission to
the grounds But do not misunder
stand it wasn't just for the dollar
Each person through that gate repre
sented by that dollar counts toward
money which they can receive from
the state to operate their fair
grounds
SB M foil can see they had
everything to gam and the
Wranglers would have to just take if
on the chin, and they did' People
turned away at the gate and went
home or downtown to eat breakfast
It is a real shame that this
happened but the club learned a
valuable lesson
I might also mention that the
Wranglers club will not be associ
ated with the Open Morrow County
horse show in the future That horse
show and its "a ssets'' have been
officially claimed by the County
Fair Hoard All monies of that show
donated or otherwise will be the
property of the Fair Hoard and the
County Treasurer's office

When times get tough people tighten their belts,
And. of course, to gel by, they spend less.
But the government doesn't, they demand even more,

They have a solution to all of our problems.
But it really is not very funny
When they reach in our pockets with both of their hands
And take what's left of our money
It spends our millions without conscience,
There's more where that came from it knows,
For if you don’t cough up more money.
Our schools they 'll threaten to d ose
Five times they have tried for the sales tax
And all five times they’ve failed
For stubbornly trying to pass it again,
I swear they ought to be jailed

sure No 1 will create an environ
ment that will enable Oregon to
improve iLs economic growth
As our school adminstrators can
attest, a silent tax revolt has been
taking place in Oregon for years
School officials have seen levy after
levy defeated at the polls Ballot
Measure No 1 would prov ide a more
stable and certain source of funding
for our schools
Tax reform in Oregon has been
analym l. debated and stalemated
for too long and il’s had a negative
effect
Pacific Northwest Bell believes in
