B HERDSM AN S H IP Animal waste must be handled according to the direction of your
livestock supervisor and or the fair management If containers or trucks are available
waste must be placed directly in them
Members or clubs are encouraged to bring
wheelbarrows to carry the waste Pens should tie kept neat and clear while using as little
straw as possible Alleyways should hr free of debris and clean Premium checks will not
be released until pens are cleaned
9 Exhibitors that desire to sell their animals through the sale must submit a "feed and
growth record " current up to the fair weigh in These need not tie a specific form although
'4 II I4(|R' will suffice, but should include the following data member's name animal's
name and description, purchase date and weight, animal s breeding all weights made
during the project period, a record of all feed consumed and its cost, a record of veterinary
and other expenses, and other data that ta pertinent to your records The object of these
records U to help you determine whether you made, or lost money on your project

wheat as the major ingredient Hake a product using a favorite recipe or a recipe you
developed using ala 'bulgari. whole wheat flour, wheat hemes, cracked wheat, rolled
wheat, wheat germ rake flour, all purpose flour, or any other wheat product Examples
are crackers, bagels. p«x ket breads, etc Recipes should be included on a 5"x7" card

Participants will
1 Prepare roast beef sandw ich for sack lunch
2 Decorate brown bag to promote beet, i e picture, slogan, etc
3 Be able to tell judge why sandwich is nutritious
Contestants brings choice of bread, seasoning, loppings ingredients to add lo basic
meat to make a tasty, creative, nutritious sandwich (Optional may include two other
items to make lunch nutritionally balanced > Also bring choice of supplies for decorating
bag marking pen picture, etc your choice keep it simple
Contest will tx‘ judged on taste, appearance, beef statement, nutrition, and creativity
